Lviv Regional Military (State) Administration is a local self-government body representing the shared interests of territorial communities in villages, towns, and cities, within the powers defined by the Constitution of Ukraine and the Law of Ukraine “On Local Self-Government in Ukraine.”
Implemented Solution
Renome Smart, as a technological partner, participated in implementing a transport solution in Lviv Oblast. This is the first region in Ukraine where an automated fare collection system (AFC) has been installed. It ensures control over cash and cashless payments, bus stations, and privileged categories. In this project, we took responsibility for equipment installation (validators, components, brackets, etc.), configuration, and connection (power supply, software, SIM cards, integrations), maintenance, management, and customer support. By the end of 2023, 1000 validators will be installed and connected to the system in the region’s intercity transport.

We not only performed installation, configuration, and validator connection to the system but also conduct remote monitoring of functionality, advise passengers on technical issues or misunderstandings, and carry out monthly maintenance.
WHAT THE PARTNER RECEIVED
The transport solution allows verifying all entitled passengers who have the right to free public transport use by law. Currently, compensation for such travel is practically non-existent. However, with the AFC system’s help, local self-government bodies will be able to include such compensation in the budget as early as next year.
Additionally, it provides a convenient management dashboard with extensive analytics, statistics, and reporting.
It displays all intercity transportation processes, analyzes the efficiency of subsidized routes, optimizes costs, and more.

In this project, we addressed not only the technical component of the transport solution for Lviv Oblast but also aimed, together with partners, to create a product that comprehensively addresses intercity transport payment issues. To make it clear and convenient for both passengers, carriers, and the community. As a result, both cash and cashless payment methods, accounting for privileged categories, reporting, analytics, device and route performance data, etc., are available.
