BUSINESS CASE

BRIDGE web platform for the Relief Coordination Centre

(website for cooperation between civil society organizations and donors for the RCC)

About the client

The Relief Coordination Centre is a Ukrainian non-governmental organization that promotes cooperation between humanitarian organizations, authorities, volunteers, and other humanitarian stakeholders to provide effective and comprehensive assistance to the civilian population.

Implemented solution

Many civil society organizations (CSOs) are engaged in humanitarian aid close to or on the front line, ensuring civilian evacuation and delivery of food and medicine. They have numerous needs, including protective equipment, fuel, and transportation. On the other hand, the RCC and international donor organizations have the opportunity to cover such needs.

At the request of the RCC, RENOME SMART developers created a space for communication and cooperation between CSOs and donors – the BRIDGE web platform.

CSOs can announce their needs on the platform, which are later addressed by the RCC, and participate in grant competitions created by donors.

TURNKEY SOLUTION

IMPLEMENTATION STAGES
01. System analysis and design, design development (collection of customer requirements, design of entities and structure).
01. Development of the main functionality (backend creation, data sets development, CSO functionalities, donors, needs, competitions, widgets, accounts).
01. Solution testing and deployment.

KEY ADVANTAGE
The web platform offers a single space for consolidating data on CSO needs and grant competitions arranged by donors. Work transparency is guaranteed by several verification stages and the ability to check all necessary documents. Moreover, the platform is a step towards electronic interaction, reducing paper document flow.

WHAT THE PARTNER RECEIVED
The BRIDGE web platform for the Relief Coordination Centre combines resources, educational services and grant competitions in a single information space, effectively supporting humanitarian initiatives. It ensures transparent communication between CSOs and donors, facilitating access to humanitarian assistance and contributing to an effective response to needs.

Opportunities

Grant competitions
Registered donor organizations can announce grant competitions and add a list of requirements to participants thereof. Such competitions can be open (available to all CSOs) and closed (the donor independently determines the target group). After the competition completion, donors review all applications and select one or more winners. Information about winning the competition enters the profile of the relevant CSO automatically.

Applications for needs
Registered and verified CSOs can submit applications for material and technical needs with justification. For example, fuel, evacuation and personal protective equipment for the evacuation of residents from a frontline city. Currently, the parent organization, i.e. the RCC covers such needs. Due to the data sets system, all terms are unified, allowing for avoiding misunderstandings.

Information
Registered CSOs can review all announced grant competitions, deadlines and other essential conditions on the web platform. In addition, the site provides information about upcoming training and webinars. Users can create new educational events, view details of existing ones and add them to their event calendar.

Value

The BRIDGE web platform allows for the effective allocation of donor resources, avoiding assistance duplication and ensuring a timely response to needs.

Partner feedback

“The RENOME SMART team took on the full cycle of development and support of the service and ensured product full functionality within the previously agreed deadlines. In addition, the company actively advises the Relief Coordination Centre on technical issues regarding products that are at the concept or design stage. This is just the beginning of our cooperation, we already have clear plans for the BRIDGE platform development, which we will implement together with the RENOME SMART company!”
