Success in FinTech is defined by more than just hardware quality or code speed. It is defined by trust. When a major financial institution selects a technological partner for a pilot project, it is only the beginning. When that bank scales the solution across its entire network following the pilot, it is a testament to the highest quality and expertise.
Today, we are sharing the story of our evolving partnership with maib (Moldova Agroindbank) – the leader of the Moldovan banking sector.
Step 1: From Idea to Pilot
The collaboration between RENOME SMART and maib began in 2023, when the bank was looking for a reliable partner to integrate software into previously purchased deposit machines. Our team joined the project and, based on our proprietary product, developed a custom operation scenario for the devices and ensured seamless integration with the bank’s core system. As a result, the software was successfully deployed, creating a solid foundation for further cooperation.
Step 2: RS.Core – Flexibility as a Game-Changer
The key advantage for maib was the flexibility of our software. Thanks to RS.Core, we implemented specific scenarios required by the bank: from instant fund crediting to real-time detailed reporting.
When the bank decided to expand its network, they placed their next equipment order with us. In March 2025, we shipped a new batch of devices, allowing the bank to efficiently operate two different types of deposit machines managed through our unified RS.Core platform.
Step 3: Scaling and New Equipment Delivery
The test results confirmed that RENOME SMART’s solutions perfectly align with maib’s strategic goals. Consequently, in March 2026, we delivered a new, significantly larger batch of ES1600 series deposit machines. This time, the equipment underwent additional R&D adaptation: we modified the devices to meet the bank’s specific internal requirements. This once again proved our ability to approach client needs flexibly and implement complex, tailored solutions.
Why was the ES 1600 series chosen?
- Performance: A large banknote capacity (up to 18,000 notes) allows for serving high customer traffic without frequent cash collections.
- Reliability: High-level security and advanced currency recognition sensors.
- Compactness: The ergonomic design allows for seamless integration into Self-service areas, even in smaller branches.
In parallel, software enhancements were completed: based on clearly defined requirements from the bank, we adapted the functionality to align with their internal processes and regulatory standards. The updated software version has already been delivered to the bank as an official release.
Turnkey Expertise: Why It Matters
For maib, we acted not merely as a vendor, but as a turnkey solutions provider. This means we support the project at every single stage:
